No. 13 Spend a whole day without my phone COMPLETED

What are you afraid of?
I am afraid that I will miss out on important information and just missing out on the fun of having a phone in my hand. From social media to playing games on my phone.
What's the challenge?
To turn off my phone and not use my phone from 12am to 12am. Also to really spend quality time with family as this was done on Christmas day. Also to make it a real true representation of the day the only people that knew that I was doing this challenge were the people that was with me on Christmas day.
How was the experience?

So on Christmas eve at 12.07am I turned off my phone to not go back on till Boxing day. I woke up at 9am to pick up my phone which I would normally do as my morning routine to find it was turned off which reminded me I had started my challenge.

I got up to get ready as my sister and her other half was round at 10.30am, they arrived on time and ready for opening the presents. This help me not need my phone due to the busy atmosphere. Once all the present were opened I went to play with my two main presents, which was Google home and a GoPro 5 from my family and my other half, plugged in the google home to find out I needed my phone for the set up, so I did cheat by asking my other half to set the Google home through his phone. Then I went to the GoPro 5 to set up to find the same thing was needed so no set on this item till next day. I guess you don't realise how many gadgets rely on your phone to do things, so this does make it difficult to do things more than just social media and games.

after this we got ready dinner and our tradition of board games, which we played the tipping point game which kept my mind occupied from my phone, also this board game doesn't use my phone which I know a lot of board games do these days.

Then time flown by and it was 6pm saying goodbye to my sister and partner, where I believe the challenge became more difficult due to boredom, I took a nap to help but I found myself counting the the minutes and hours down till I could find out what was going on with everyone on Facebook.

I got to 12am to find out that I was to tired to even turn on my phone so I decided to finish my challenge the next day and go to bed.

I woke up around 9am to being excited to turn on my phone to see what the world had to offer me or if anyone was worried if I hadn't messaged them, I found out that the world was busy enjoying Christmas with their family and taking pictures of the new products and yummy Christmas dinner, there was nothing to worry about after all.

What I have learnt is that its important to put the phone away once in awhile and enjoy the moment with friends and family, also I have learnt that the phone is remote for much more than I thought, like other gadgets and knowledge for simple things like the weather. I have realised that it is important to put my phone away lot more often than I do so I can really enjoy the family and friends around me. Also to turn off before bed time is really important just to waiting till the morning for information from the world and have that me time away from everything.

I am going to being posting for very emotional stuff in the next couple of months, So please be aware if you are sensitive to the content please do not read the next couple of articles.

Another challenge completed and many more to come. Have an epic time and welcome to 2018.

Happy reading ladies and gents...

No. 8. Take a Holiday by myself for the first time. COMPLETED!

What are you afraid of?
I'm afraid that when I'm away something will happens or I miss my flight back and cant get home. Also that there might be an incident that I can't handle on my own while i'm out there.
What's the challenge?
To fly to another country by myself  and spend my holiday on my own.
How was the experience?
Day 1: Day one I got up at 2.30am nervous about the plan ahead, my dad gave me a lift to calm my nerves and to save money on parking. Security always scared me but went though fine and got to Dublin in time and ready for the bus, to then have some trouble with my ticket after some words everything got sort and I was on my way to the hotel. Left my bags at the hotel, so I could go and explore the beautiful island of Bray. First destination the beach, great weather, beautiful scenery and lovely locals. I decided in my crazy mind to walk the cliff of bray, which frightened me with the height and the big drop if I made the wrong step, I ended up in Greystone which was a bit to far to get back to the hotel. Panicked set in while trying to ring a local taxi to find out that my phone wouldn't let me call in Dublin, so I asked a lovely local to direct me in the right bus or taxi rank, She asked where I was staying and she offered me a lift, it was really nice to see local people nice and helpful.

Day 2:
Got up for 7am to get my Buffer breakfast (Irish) after that went back to my room to get ready and head to Dublin, so my train was about a 40 min walk down the hill, picked up the train to head to Dublin. so online I purchased the Dublin Pass and I had to go to the shop to get it process, if you have ever gone to Dublin you will know its hard to find anything, so it took me about 30 - 60 mins to find the shop. so part of the Dublin pass you can get on the hop on tour bus which is great to find all the places. First I ended up in The Irish Rock 'n' Roll Museum Experience which consist of a tour with a group of people about Irish music, got to see U2 room, Micheal Jackson jacket and PJ and lots of story about great rock stars. Then I got very lost looking for the wax museum after spending 3 hours I found it. Let say that this wax was OK, not as good as London wax and very small, I spent about 30 mins to get round and out again. So I got lost again looking for the train stations and it was getting very late asked a local and found the train. Got back to the hotel for 8pm.

Day 3:
Again I had waken at 7 am and had the same breakfast, catch the train to Dublin and jumped on the bus to the next destination. I headed to the famous Dublin Zoo and was not disappointed. The weather was good and the zoo was empty so it made the animal be more animal like, a lot more interaction to be seen and animal showing the public the way they play. Also the zoo was getting ready for there Japanese light show, which gave me the opportunity to take some really arty photos. if you are in Dublin after November to December please check out the light show as with there lights off they look amazing, so imagine what they look like all bright to the world. I then head to the world famous Guinness Factory, loved the tour and they really do make it fun for everyone that attends but I really don't like Guinness after that headed back to the hotel for the evening.

Day 4:
Thursday I spent most my time lost in Dublin and shopping my euros away. Went to the best shopping area called the Grafton which is weird as we have a Grafton Cambridge. After a long day walking around I sat down for dinner T.G.I.Fridays, spent my euros on some yummy garlic bread and a burger. Unfortunately the service was a bit terrible and I was deflated by the whole experience. head back to the hotel early so I could get to Bray Cex before it shut to purchased a game i had seen a couple of days before. Got back to the hotel and decided to us up my euro on the chicken wings and steak and it was the best steak i have ever had, if you are staying in the Wilton Hotel try the steak you won't regret it.

Day 5:
I could really sleep on the this day due to the worry that I would mess up on bus back, well i was worried that I would be on the wrong side for my bus and he would just drive back. I got up at 3am and headed to the bus stop after lots of research on the bus service I knew which side to stand on. I started to worry again to the point of crying when my bus didn't turn up on time. Their was about four others waiting for the same bus as i asked if they were here for the same reason. The bus turned up 20 mins after and I was on my way to the airport. I was pretty early and was stopped at security for some liquid that was in my day bag. I spent my hours trying to stay awake and doing puzzle till my gate was open. I flew back with eases and was met by dad and happy to be home. got home and straight to sleep for me.

Overall I loved the holiday even though I spent half of it lost, I realised that asking for help isn't that hard and scary. Would I do it again? Probably not on my own. Lot of people would say have you found yourself? I would say I found anxiety but the closes I found was on top of the cliff on my first day and not giving up on completing the cliff.

If you love it please read the next one, as there are many more to come and more little adventure to complete. Photos below.

NO. 3 Take Ruby to a dog's class + Relax when meeting other dogs. COMPLETED!

What are you afraid of?
I'm afraid that Ruby might hurt someone or another dog and she will be put down , even though she isn't an aggressive dog.
What's the challenge?
To get Ruby interacting with other dogs and try getting her to make friends on a regular bases. To attend a work party where there is a lot of dogs going.
How was the experience?
On 3rd September me and Ruby got our best outfit on for works BBQ dog party. About 30 different types of dogs attended, which gave Ruby lots of opportunity to meet new friends and learn to play. My fears set in while driving down to Ferry Meadows and Ruby show fear due to the crying she caused. We tried to find the team but was unable work out the BBQ pit place. My anxiety grew when I spent 30 mins looking, I then found a work colleague which helped us work together to find the rest of the team.

We met many different types of dog breeds from beagles to pugs, Ruby got sniffing and everything seemed to be OK, one of my colleagues has two kids which the youngest took a liking to Ruby. Ruby sat with girls, Ruby was happy to be stroked under my control. I had her facing me at one point as she was crying a lot to calm her down, the kid came up from behind her and Ruby was unsure who it was and barked back but not aggressive to anyone.

She also was introduced to a little black pug and she started to bark at her but not actually trying to harm any human or dog, so I would say it is a success. I realised that this is probably the worse thing that could happen cause I always show control with ruby. Also i'm not so scared to let Ruby meet new people and dog and she has made friends on her walks since. Well I guess this one just proves that the fear is in my head and I need to get out of head to complete more...

I hope you like it and follow me on my journey as there is way more to come with lots of photos too.

First completed : Getting a tattoo no. 11

So it has started the challenges have begun and set out all over my wall like i'm some investigator looking for a killer. every date set and the first has been completed with sweat palms.
What are you afraid of?
I'm afraid of the unknown of pain to skin and trusting another with permanent art to my body.
What's the challenge?
To get a tattoo that has been chosen by my friend on my skin.
How was the experience?
So I spoke with my friend about a design to go on my body and she knows me that I am a big Disney fan, I'm also very similar to the character Tinkerbell due to being small in height, loving glitter and jokey being attention seeker so made sense that I would get Tinkerbell on my body. So where do I get the tattoo, I thought long and hard and decided that the best place for it would be on my right side of my stomach. so everything decided now and the day has arrived.
On the day I was nerves of the unknown, questions running through my head like what if the guy not good at the design? what if the pain is unbearable and get half a design done? and many more...
I arrive at the English rose and climb the stairs with shaky knees and rumble tummy of fear. The layout of the building full of tattoo designs which made me feel a bit more comfortable and other rooms of people tattooing away and the sound needles did help with my nerves. The tattoo artist approached and copied my design and prepped the room which made feel like the longest wait of my life even though it was only 20 mins.
I get called in by the artist and I am sharing a room with a guy getting a massive back piece which actually helps as he seems no pain to the needle and makes me think that the pain not to bad, he talks to me to help my fear while I lay down on the bed and my head is running with thoughts that this is actual happening, no going back now. My hearts thumping now and worry of everything that could go wrong but never happens.
The pain was crazy, My description of the pain is like being stapled through the skin so many time, I know! I bet you haven't heard that one before but that the only thing could pinpoint it down too. The design was done in 20 mins and I love it.

Would I get another one? No ... but I would like to get this one finished with Tinkerbell face and colour.
Has my fear gone? Probably not due to the pain.

I hope you like it and follow me on my journey as it has only just begun the crazy ride of girl with the size 2 in fear.

2017 is the year for change

In 2016 I would say wasn't my finest...

what happened in short terms:

- Started the worse job for me, where my worst anxiety came out and spent most my time crying.

- Broke up with my Boyfriend of 3 years and became single again.

- Piled on the pounds, now I weight at my heaviest 12 stone 9.

- Retaken my GCSE English and only managing to successfully get a D.

- My health is at its worse.

I know this doesn't sound like a bad year and I did make it through but for me I felt like I was starting all over again when new years came round. I was determined that I would improve this year.

So I'm setting my 2017 goals on here and I hope you follow my progress through out the year, so this is my layout and how I am going to document it.

1. I will try to document my progress every Sunday on here.

2. I have decided to lose weight, my goal will be 9 stone 3 as my height is 5ft 1 and this is the correct weight for my height.

3. I will spend more time hanging out with my friends on weekend doing activities like swimming, laser quest, bowling etc.

4.  I will be taking a road trip with my friends which has been put in place for April and are going to Sheffield.

5.  I will be joining the gym to use the swimming and classes to fix my back.

6. I have started my dream job and my goal will be to make sure I learn and get the best out of this job. Also to keep it!

7. Stick to calorie counting app to reach my goal and eat healthy.

8. Shut down technology at 10 pm to get a good nights sleep.

9. Prep my lunch on Sundays.

10. Enjoy being single and not settle for anything less.

11. Stick to dance class on Tuesday and learn as much as I can and enjoy it too.

12. Spend money on good quality make up and key pieces for my wardrobe.

And I think that is it, Just have fun this year is my overall goal and work hard!

So as this day is Wednesday I will speak to you this Sunday and will see how this week goes...

I hope you enjoy and hopefully this year will be positive. :)
